Where your lane runs into one that traffic is already using, at the tapered end of a lane or a section cut down to one.

What to do

Let the traffic already on the road come through, then take a gap without making anybody brake. Signal and move over early rather than at the point the lane runs out, and match the speed of the stream you are joining.
