In an urban area everything is held to the same figure, light and heavy alike. On the open road the two classes part company.
A restriction sign posts a lower limit and you may not exceed it.
A derestriction sign cancels the limit that was posted before it, and that is all it does. The general limit for your class still applies, so a light vehicle is back to 120 km/h and not to any speed it likes. That distinction is a question in its own right.
Leave one car length for every 15 km/h you are doing. At 60 km/h that is four car lengths.
In rain, at night, or behind something you cannot see past, leave more.
