When within 200 metres of an oncoming vehicle only
When within 200 metres of the vehicle ahead or an oncoming one
Never, you are allowed to drive with your lights on high beam at all times
Explanation: Dipped lights are the brightest lights your car has that won't dazzle other road users. Therefore, as a rule to remember, always use them when visibility is poor e.g. at dusk or night time, and in bad weather.
