Falling Rocks

In hilly roads the rocks fall on road during landslides in extreme climates. This sign shows that the road ahead is prone to such falling of rocks and driver should drive carefully to avoid accident.

Where you will see it: On hill roads and through cuttings where the slope above the carriageway sheds stone, particularly in the rains.
What to do: Keep the speed down and read the surface ahead for rock that has already come down, since that is the part of the hazard you can actually hit. Do not stop under the face to look at it, and if the road is blocked, stop well back where you can be seen.
