When faced with a Stop sign, stop your vehicle at the stop line or, where there is no stop line, as near as practicable to but before entering the intersection.
Where you will see it
At the mouth of a side road, with a stop line painted across your lane where one has been provided.
What to do
Come to a complete stop at the line, or as near the intersection as you can get without entering it, then move off only when the road is clear. At a three way or four way stop, the vehicle that stopped first is the one that goes first.
