Ahead of a junction on a road that carries on through it, with the joining road out of sight behind a hedge or a wall.
What to do
Look for whatever controls the junction and for the vehicles already waiting at it. Do not overtake as you come up to it: it is an offence at a junction, and the vehicle you cannot see is the one turning across you.
