Where the carriageway pinches in from both sides, often on the run up to an older bridge or culvert.

What to do

Ease off and hold your line. The lane is not moving, the space either side of it is going, so there is nothing to steer around. Overtaking where the road narrows is out, so drop back and take the pinch one vehicle at a time.
