Where you will see it: At the start of a controlled parking zone, in town centres and at ranks, with a plate under it carrying the terms.
What to do: Read the plate before you walk away, because the plate is the instruction: the hours parking is allowed, how long you may stay, or that the bay is for taxis only. Park inside the marked bay, facing the direction of travel, handbrake on.
